Gainesville Youth Lacrosse (GYL) – home of Brigade
, is an organization established exclusively to foster and support the sport of lacrosse as played by boys and girls ages 6 to 15 in Western Prince William County and the City of Manassas, Virginia. GYL membership has grown from 4 teams in 2004, to a projected 23 youth lacrosse teams in 2023. We added the girls field hockey program under our umbrella in 2018. We expect to have over 150 girls participating in the field hockey program (Spring and Fall) in 2023.
Lacrosse is considered to be the fastest growing sport in the United States. Currently, USA Lacrosse,
the national governing body for the sport, has over 400,000 registered members. Mostly serving the youth level, USA Lacrosse, which is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization, is committed to providing a leadership role in virtually every aspect of the game.
It is also an exciting time for GYL and the nationwide lacrosse community. Local businesses are capitalizing on the explosive growth of the sport. In order to achieve our goals of providing high-quality coaching, lacrosse fields, and equipment, Brigade needs support from our local community comprised of businesses that our family members patronize on a daily basis. In an effort to streamline how we partner with our local vendors, GYL / Brigade Lacrosse is pleased to outline our Brigade Sponsor Program (click here to link to the program outline)
. In the attached document, you will see various levels of partnership that will benefit your business while supporting the local recreational lacrosse league.
Please take a moment to review the program outline. The league is flexible with regard to monetary contributions that might somehow be supplemented with equipment, services (clinic sponsorships & management, etc.) and/or coupon discount programs provided throughout the course of the year, based on what works best for your organization. If you are employed by a local business, or own and operate your own business, and wish to learn more about the Brigade Sponsor Program, please contact Meg Holden, Director of Marketing, at
